What is Sunshine Coast Regional Council?
Family Law May 2, 2024, Comments OffThe Sunshine Coast Regional Council is a local government area located north of Brisbane in Queensland, Australia. Established in 2008 through amalgamating Caloundra, Maroochy and Noosa Shire councils.
Queensland Ombudsman conducted a review into council’s actions taken in response to complaints regarding power boat noise pollution.
Local Government
Sunshine Coast Regional Council serves as the local government body of its region, providing services, setting a vision and strategic direction, meeting community expectations and maintaining infrastructure like roads and public recreation spaces that the region relies upon.
At present, Council supports one sister city relationship and three friendship city agreements which facilitate business, cultural and educational exchanges with overseas communities. Furthermore, Council provides support for a range of community and sporting activities.
