Cuddle up with amazing animals at Australia Zoo – made famous by Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin. Or take an unforgettable kayak or river cruise through Noosa Everglades for an unforgettable adventure.

Australia Zoo

Australia Zoo, situated in Beerwah and covering over 1000 forested hectares, is world renowned. Established by the late Steve Irwin (crocodile hunter extraordinaire) and now run by his widow Terri and children Bindi and Robert, it serves both as wildlife park and major conservation destination.

The zoo boasts four walk-through enclosures where visitors can feed kangaroos and koalas, cuddle a koala or enjoy one of many animal shows – arriving early is advised for optimal viewing experience!

Be mindful that most of the zoo is outdoors; bring clothing and protection appropriate to its climate – sunscreen and hats may be required, and an umbrella in case of rain. Personal encounters with wild animals are popular and should be booked in advance – you can do this either online or at the zoo and add-ons can be purchased as add-ons for an additional fee. Finally, ensure comfortable shoes as you will likely do a lot of walking!

Noosa National Park

Discover nature at Noosa National Park, where coastal walks meet rare species sightings. Koala-watching and witnessing humpback whale migration make Noosa an incredible natural treasure that you won’t want to miss! Enjoy relaxing at Fairy Pools before admiring Hell’s Gate as an iconic viewpoint.

Noosa National Park can be easily explored via the boardwalk that begins at Noosa Main Beach and extends past Little Cove before ending at the park’s entrance. It’s ideal for walking shoes or prams alike and offers stunning panoramic views with a secluded bay at its end.

Parklands National Park boasts some of the finest surf spots in Australia, suited for experienced surfers or beginners alike. Choose your ideal secluded sandy spots in Tea Tree Bay and head towards First Point for longboarding thrills – or watch pro riders take their skills a step further at Tea Tree Bay’s Pro Surf Tour stop for some pro level action! Dolphins and turtles may even make appearances along the beach during certain months!

Eumundi Markets

The Eumundi Markets are Australia’s premier artisan markets. Established in 1979, they boast over 600 stalls set beneath heritage-listed fig trees in Eumundi’s picturesque historic hinterland town. It was founded on European-style farmers markets with a focus on local produced goods – and this remains key to its success today.

Stroll through stalls selling everything from handmade clothes, jewellery and gifts to fresh produce, local wines, artisan soaps and hand-carved trinkets. Take time out for coffee or sample the vast array of food offerings before enjoying street performances and entertainment!

Eumundi Markets are open every Wednesday and Saturday of the year (rain or shine!) on Memorial Drive in Eumundi town centre. Don’t miss Picnic Lane – a new feature at Eumundi markets with food stalls, lawn games, and live music!
