A 49-year-old man has died after falling in a waterfall on the Sunshine Coast. A child was rescued, but the man’s body was later recovered, after an intensive search. The incident occurred early this morning at Marcus Beach on the Sunshine Coast, south of Noosa Heads. Lifesavers said the woman may have been caught in a rip. When they arrived, she was unconscious, but lifeguards managed CPR. Sadly, the woman passed away at the scene. A report has been prepared for the coroner. Lifeguards at the beach have been assessing the situation, but are unsure whether she drowned or was caught in a strong rip.
